Well, as the con is growing closer and closer, I feel like I should release what I have planned/some rules so you don’t get caught off guard.

As far as tournaments, our tentative line-up is:

SF Third Strike
Blazblue: Continuum Shift
ITG
Tatsunoko vs. Capcom
Super Smash Bros. Brawl
Halo Reach
Dance Central

Now, for this year, the times for these will be done differently. For one, instead of having a scheduled time in the program, these will be posted on a dry-erase board inside or outside the room. Don’t worry about the start time, as we’ll write the estimated start time about 4 to 5 hours ahead of time. It’s recommended that you get there about 5-10 minutes ahead of time so we can get everything in order.

Now comes everybody’s favorite time, the RUURUUS. Well, actually, it’s more of a combination of the rules and our little programming blurb.

Game Center
What is to anime like bread is to butter? Why video games of course. So while we have panels, events, video rooms to fuel your anime addictions, we also bring back the Anime Los Angeles Game Room to feed your other love, the art of the Gamer.

Come join us in Anime Los Angeles’ Game Room where you can duel fellow con-goers and staff alike. You may even find yourself the winner of one of our Gamer Ribbons if you can defeat a Staff member. Just remember to ask as our Staff is hard of hearing and it seems demands are hard to hear above the lovable chaos of the Game Room.

We will also have tournaments to go with our open gaming hours, so come join us as we battle for prizes. We only ask that all our participants be on time and bring with them a small entry fee.

And remember, this is another one of Anime Los Angeles’s amenities so please treat fellow gamers, staff, and especially the equipment with respect. Don’t aggravate the Moogle by damaging our Game Room or else you will be forced to feed him, and he gets very hungry when aggravated. Of course, the Moogle is hungry when placated so feel free to give him small treats as well.

So suit up in your best videogame cosplay, act the part, earn a ribbon, and then join us for hours of fun as we shoot, fight, dance, and battle into the night!

Also on site will be Play ‘N’ Trade Video Games Pasadena, who will be providing some equipment, running a few tournaments, and have a booth in the game room. Be sure to check them out!

They do newer video games, as well as retro systems, a try before you buy option, console and disc repairs, a gaming lounge, hosting tournaments, as well buying and selling video games.
