Help Wanted

 

Publications/Signage set-up/take-down

Publications needs your help! We’re looking for volunteers to help with setup and take-down of the various signage about the convention. Setup begins on Thursday morning, and we need people to roll painter’s tape to put on the backs of the signs, as well as people to carry signs to their locations and put them on the walls (people with a good eye for determining if the sign is straight or not are especially welcome for this part). Take-down begins on Sunday at 4 pm, and we need people to take the signs down from the walls and gather up the permanent signs. Volunteers who help with both setup and take-down will be signed off for a full ten volunteer hours, even if it doesn’t actually take that long (and it usually doesn’t). If interested, please contact pubs@animelosangeles.org

Do you enjoy meeting people and helping them gain a deeper experience at ALA?  Do you enjoying keeping track of folks who are working for the good of the convention?  Are you willing to bestow points towards gifts of appreciation to hard-working convention attendees?  Well, maybe YOU should come work for Volunteers!  We need  4-6 people willing to devote time at the Volunteer desk, enrolling potential volunteers on site, and sending them where they are needed most…to the departments putting on the big events and the fun programs that make ALA so special!
