We'll have some thank-you gifts for volunteering, including a "pass-on" membership. This means that if you pay for this year, and volunteer a sufficient number of hours, you'll have a free membership to next year's convention; if you then volunteer at next year's convention, you can get the following year free, and so on. Volunteers are asked to join the convention and pay their membership fee up front, just like the chairman did.
