The Rum Party & Pirate Dance will be held in LP1-2 immediately following the AMV Contest, on FRIDAY night. We anticipate it starting by about 9:00.

Just wanted to post information about the Rum Party here as well.

We will be serving Iced Tea, free of charge to anybody who wants it. This is Rum Party tradition, as we refer to the iced tea as "Rum". There will also be several games and events to occupy attendees. By playing games and participating in events, you can win gold coins and other pirate-y prizes, and you can use the gold coins to bid on Pirates and Wenches in the Auction.


GAMES:

Walk-the-plank: A game involving walking a plank, blindfolded. Those who can make it across will be rewarded with gold coins. Those who can make it across after being spun around will be given even more coins.

Shooting Range: Test your firearm skills using a rubberband gun to shoot down plastic bottles. You get gold coins for every bottle you shoot, with a limit of 5 rubber bands.

Shotglass Checkers: A game of checkers, but every time you lose a piece, you have to take a shot fo Brainwash Soda, which is very intense. The winner of the game gets a bunch of gold coins.

Card Games: 3 gambling tables set up playing various card games that vary depending on the dealer. You can win coins the old fasioned way here.

Ale Chugging: Think your pirate enough to chug down a mug of ale? (Big cup of Root Beer) If you can do it, you can win gold coins doing this too.



EVENTS:

Treasure Hunt: A multiple team Treasure Hunt where you follow clues and face trials to finally win the treasure.

Sign up are full so come and watch the hunt. Check out the forum topic for the teams.

Swill Contest: Bring a variety of nonalchoholic drinks and see if you can make the best tasting Swill. Judges decide who wins. You can play as long as you're there with your drink on time, but you must mix you drink under supervision to avoid people spiking their drinks.

Belly Dancing: Try your skill at Belly Dancing, and the audience will pick who their favorite was. This will go on around midnight once the dance gets going.

Captain's Challenge: A multiple-game tournament to see who has the most Captain in them. Sign up at the Rum Party to join in.

Auction: Bid using gold coins on your favorie Pirate or Wench to win an "escort" for the party.

Lastly, if you'd like to contribute funds to future Rum Party's, we accept donations, and we sell nice (and very clean) piratey bottles for a couple bucks each. All money goes towards making the next Rum Party even better!
