Nick Smith works with kids and teens at the Pasadena Public Library, where he runs an anime club, a Go club, and buys a lot of manga as part of his job.
He also performs as a storyteller of folktales and historical pieces from around the world, and is a reviewer of manga and graphic novels for various journals. Also, he is a reknown filker and will be a part of our Music program as well. The filk examples were great and there was talk by a couple of musicians about having done lyrics on the fly before and that it would be a fun contest. Nick has proposed the same sort of insta-filk contest for next year! Let's keep that in mind! |
