Animé Los Angeles is pleased to announce that Bryan Wong will be our Artist Guest of Honor.

Bryan Wong is a California-based comic artist and writer, whose works can be found online and in print. Since 1999, he has produced five webcomic titles in addition to various online collaborative projects, all during his free time; his current webcomics include the drama Seasons of Constancy, which is well into its 7th year, and the Star Fruit Universe series, which can be found both on the web and in print.

His exclusive print works have included contributions to the first three Comic Genesis anthologies (with cover design credits for the third), PMBQ Studios' Tea Party, and his very own Long Northern Summer Days comic spectacular (conveniently out of print). Bryan is also the chief editor and a contributor to the Ponju Hamthology series, whose first print volume has recently become available.

Bryan is also interested in dabbling deeper into graphic design and animation; however, with a slew of new comic projects on the horizon, it's obvious where his heart really belongs.

Bryan Wong's online manga, Seasons of Constancy caught my eye a couple of years ago. Another world, with unfamiliar-sounding names, completely different style of alphabet, and a culture that's very different from what we're used to. But not Japanese, although some elements are Japanese-like -- the world of his creation is entirely imaginary.

Ambitious? Yes, certainly. But worth taking the effort to soak it up. I've got the first volume of the printed version, which I picked up after perusing the online version. I recommend starting with that -- buy a copy, so you can immerse yourself in the world and get a feel for the place and the characters. Then continue reading online when you can, and impatiently wait for the next installment with the rest of us.
