Dealers Room Spaces on sale PDF Print E-mail
Written by Chaz Baden

Dealers contracts have been mailed to the dealers who have expressed interest in this year's Dealers Room. If you are interested, use the "Contact us" link to send us your physical mailing address and we'll mail you the forms. We also have an e-mail list available.

Our mailing list is an e-mail list set up so that we can send announcements to and start discussions with the dealers who have expressed an interest in a space. We strongly recommend you sign up for this mailing list.

The mailing went out the last week of August. My apologies to everyone who's been waiting so patiently. We sent it out via regular mail, not e-mail, because there's a form from the city that you need to fill out in addition to our own paperwork.

The spaces are much larger this year: you get a rectangle, 10 feet wide, 8 feet deep. It comes with one table -- we can give you another table if you want, we might be able to get 8-foot long "schoolroom" tables instead of the 6-footers. (We get the tables for free from the hotel.) You can bring your own furniture. We expect that a number of dealers who took two tables last year will find they'll save money and have plenty of room in a single space. And note that two spaces has 20 feet of frontage space on the aisle -- as much as three of last year's tables put together.

We also expect that some dealers might find it makes sense to split a space with another dealer. We've seen that happen informally before, and this year the spaces are large enough to make it a more viable alternative. For example, you could set up two 6' tables on each side of the space, along the left and right sides, and an 8-foot schoolroom table along the back with your stock underneath. Or you could each bring your own bookcases or racks and use those instead of tables.

Spaces will be assigned in postmark order. Get those forms mailed back to us. We only have 26 spaces and they're going to go fast.

Electricity is going to be expensive. We're negotiating with the hotel now, trying to get the price down, but right now it's looking like a single outlet will be in the $150-$200 range.
