Artists are expected to abide by these rules. We ask that you fill out a copy and sign it before setting up. (The middle icon of the three little icons above right will give you a printer-friendly version of this page.)
Rules for ArtistsFailure to follow the below guidelines will result in expulsion for the remainder of the weekend, with no refund of fees. Signing of this in no way guarantees Artist a space at said Artists' Alley.Artist agrees: 1. Artist must have a FULL-WEEKEND MEMBERSHIP to Animé Los Angeles 2008. 2. Artist must have a California Reseller's Permit, which can be obtained from The California Board of Equalization (http://www.boe.ca.gov/), with them at all times while in Artists' Alley. Artist will provide said permit upon request from Staff, but may otherwise keep it concealed. 3. Only products produced by the Artist him- or herself are allowed at Artists' Alley. Original artwork (fan- or original), and original artwork that has been made into prints (copies), bookmarks, calendars, comics, pins, T-shirts, key-chains, etc., are all permitted, so long as the Artist has made these items him- or herself. Mass production of the above mentioned (taking the artwork and sending it to a printing company) is not allowed. Make it yourself. 4. There will be no proxy selling. Artist must be present at Artists' Alley in order to sell Artist's work. Artist may not have a second party not involved in the artwork's creation selling said artwork. 5. Only one half-table per artist in Artists' Alley. We have limited space, and we want to maximize the number of artists that can participate. Furthermore, only one artist per half-table, for a maximum of two artists per full table. NO EXCEPTIONS. 6. Adult-theme works that include nudity, adult situations, nocturnal mating activities, profanity, drugs, and or excessive and gory violence, all go against the Family Friendly environment of Animé Los Angeles, and must be kept out of sight of minors. Portfolios may be kept under the table until requested by adults. 7. Artists' Alley is open for as long as the convention center is open. It is advised that Artist have his or her table set up and ready before the Dealer's Hall opens (12pm Friday, 10am Saturday, 10am Sunday), to ensure minimal crowding as attendees come through the hallway. Furthermore, Artist is responsible for personal property; Animé Los Angeles will not be held accountable for lost or stolen items belonging to Artist. I agree to the above terms. _______________________________ _______________________________ Artist's Name (Please Print) California Resale Number _________________________ _____________ Artist's Signature Date Member Number _______ Payment Enclosed?
