Pre-registering for the convention. Convention registration, memberships, badges, they're all the same thing: you want to register to be a member of the convention so that you'll get a badge with your name on it and can come enjoy the convention. If you think you're looking for a "ticket" to the convention, you're really looking to be a member. Read on.
How to Register
Registering is essentially a matter of giving us your name, address, and the payment for your membership. "Pre-registering" means that you do all that before the convention, which is cheaper than doing at "at the door" or "on site," and means that picking up your badge at the convention will be a breeze.
There are two ways to pre-register: do it online, or mail us a check or money order.
Pre-registration for 2008 is Closed.
Pre-registration for 2009 is OPEN.
A note about the online pre-registration system
New simplified online system
Our previous online pre-reg system was a shopping-cart that's been adapted for convention memberships. You'll need to set up an "account", then you need to "put a membership in your shopping cart" and fill out the name and address fields there. Then when you check out, you'll be able to pay using Paypal.
Note that the step of filling out a shopping-cart account does not make you a member at all. It doesn't even mean that you've sent in your name and address and just need to pay at the door; if you haven't sent us the money via Paypal (such as using a credit card there), then the effort you've spent on filling about the account info has been lost. We had about thirty people last year who didn't realize that, so I'm hoping explaining it now will make you have an easier time of it.

Alternatively, if you don't want to or can't use the online system, print out a Registration Form and mail it to us with a check or money order. Or just write down your name and address and mail it with a check payable to Anime LA, to Anime Los Angeles, PO Box 17522, Anaheim CA 92817. |
