Dawn has been attending conventions and cosplaying since 2000; and is constantly involved in the growing Japanese pop culture in the U.S. About a year and a half ago, she studied abroad in Japan at Tokyo International University. She immersed herself in both the youth culture and older traditions of the country. Ever since she came back to California, she's been active in the Japanese music scene in Los Angeles, hosting events such as "Southern California NANA Day." She has also been involved with a prominent OEL manga artist, which gives her some insights on the manga industry. She is looking forward to sharing her different experiences with other con-goers. |
