  • Live Program (2009)  ( 2 items )
Our Live Program includes panels, presentations, workshops, live music (see the "Music" category), contests, improv comedy, speeches, slide shows, autograph sessions, and other stuff. Come, enjoy, ask questions, participate!
  • Location (2009)  ( 3 items )
Our new hotel, the Los Angeles Airport Marriott. Friendlier and bigger than last year's hotel!
  • Staff/Volunteers (2009)  ( 13 items )
All of the fans running Animé Los Angeles are volunteers. Want to help? We're perpetually short-handed, so we appreciate any time -- even half an hour -- that you can put in volunteering.
  • Hospitality  ( 2 items )
The Con Suite is a room open to all members, every day, with free snacks and soft drinks. Animé Los Angeles is the only anime convention in California with a con suite. (The nearest con suite at another anime convention is in Arizona; the nearest con suite at any kind of convention is Loscon at the LAX Marriott.)
  • Artists (2009)  ( 4 items )
The Artists' Alley will be a place where artists can sell original works, prints, take commissions, and sell things you made yourself with your own art.
  • Music, Music, Music  ( 2 items )
Music is an important part of the anime experience and of the convention experience. We are pleased to have live music as part of our Live Program, in addition to Karaoke and our nightly Rock Dances.
  • Dealers  ( 4 items )
The Dealers Room at Animé Los Angeles 4 will be in Academy 2-3 of the Burbank Airport Marriott Convention Center. The room itself is bigger this year, the dealers' spaces are larger, and the aisles are wider.
  • Guests of Honor (2009)  ( 5 items )
  • Cosplay (2009)  ( 5 items )
Dressing up in costumes you made yourself, and seeing other people's costumes, is part of the fun of attending a convention like Animé Los Angeles. We try to be a cosplay-friendly convention, whether you're just wandering the Convention Center in your ninja outfit or if you've worked out an elaborate presentation for the Masquerade.
  • Anime Music Videos (2009)  ( 3 items )
AMVs (Anime Music Videos) are music videos, usually using a western song, set to animation, usually entirely or mostly from anime.

Newsflash

Pre-register now for the convention! $35, or just $30 for students, for the entire weekend. Members under 15 may bring a grown-up for free.

You can sign up online.

We'll be at the LAX Marriott.
