Oh, wow.

From what I see from the site, this new hotel is beautiful. *__* Website

I was not able to attend the previous years of ALA, so I don't know how this hotel compares to the previous one. It looks huge~ and the rooms look really fancy.

I'm excited now~! Any thoughts?

Animé Los Angeles 4 – 2008
Friday, January 4, through Sunday, January 6, 2008

Basic Hotel Info:

Burbank Airport Marriott Hotel & Convention Center

2500 Hollywood Way
Burbank, CA 91505 USA
Phone: 1-818-843-6000
Fax: 1-818-842-9720

24 Hour Reservations: 1(800) 736-9712
URL: www.marriott.com/burap

As you've probably heard by now, the Marriott won't give us any more rooms at the convention rate. We've had an enormous demand, they've enlarged the room block twice, and won't add more rooms to the room block.

We are working with the Marriott to block all of the Animé Los Angeles sleeping rooms in the East Tower. That way we only annoy ourselves. When you make your reservation, try and specify (if possible) whether you mind being on a quiet or noisy floor. If you are speaking to a live person and they don't understand, just patiently ask them to make a note of your preference. The convention services folks and our Animé Los Angeles Hotel Liaisons will understand.

If you have any questions not covered by the information above, please email us at hotel@animelosangeles.org

Thank you,

Mokita
Hotel Liaison

I'm very excited. In previous years, when we were at the Airtel Plaza Hotel, we didn't have enough space to really spread out and get comfortable. The rooms are very nice, I can vouch for that, and we'll be in a completely different building from the non-convention people.

In addition, we have their large convention center to play in. That is, we've got an entire largish building that's just for convention members.

We're allocating part of our budget -- the money you spend to join the convention -- to buy or rent couches and other comfy furniture, to make the convention center a great place to hang out. It's going to be great!

Woo hoo, got my room booked online without problems. I put the bit about Quiet Floor Requested in the comments box, so hopefully that goes through okay.

We found out there's a different Group Code for Suites: ANEANEO. Use that if you want the suites for $149/night +tax.
