I'm in the process of enhancing the rules for Artists' Concourse.
What I want to know from you guys is, What sorts of changes would you like to see in these rules? Right now, there are some that will not change no matter how much you don't like it, but I want to know if you noticed something that could change, something that should not be there, what's worked for you at other cons that wasn't at ALA... Things like that.
Things that will not change:
You will need to have a CA seller's permit (link to be provided later).
You may not sell/display adult/mature content on convention premises.
You must have a full convention membership in order to participate.
All content sold at AC must be of your own personal handiwork. NO MASS PRODUCTION.
I'm a participant at Artist Alley in Anime Expo, so I do know what it's like to be on the other side of the table, and I want to hear everyone's opinion on this, not just my own. While we're on that subject, I also would like to hear about non-rules issues that may or may not have come up in past ALAs. Was there a problem-attendee? Were there miscommunications with staff? Were you unsatisfied with the seating arrangements and table layouts (not much we can do about the latter aside from widening the path)? I WANT TO KNOW!
