A-LA was one of the best conventions i've been to in a long time. I'm definately going next year!

I'd like to give a big thank you to everyone who put it together and made it possible. it was fantastic. ^^

I whole-heartedly agree. Chaz and the rest of staff: you guys put on one heck of a show. Creativity and participation has always helped to make ALA stand out, and there's no better type of convention I can think of being involved in.

ALA has certainly grown, and at the same time has become more and more personable, stronger and attuned to people's needs at the same time; that is a rare combination of qualities, that are typically at odds at each other. Keep at it!

I felt absolutely honored to be able to share the spotlight with such legends as Vic and Tadao, and I must admit it was intimidating in the beginning; but they were two of the friendliest guys I've met, and along with the incredibly helpful and caring staff (there are so many of you to name), all in all I really felt at home. A bloke like me couldn't be more thankful for such an opportunity. I still don't feel I deserved it.

Also, thanks to all the wonderful attendees that I was able to meet over the course of the convention. I had a blast holding panels and contests, and I hope those of you who participated enjoyed all the free gifts. There were so many good contest participants, that I had to scrounge around my own personal set of pens for more prizes to give out.

I knew exactly what Vic meant when he said that this Con was about the attendees and that he was there for you...I hope I was able, as well, to provide the kind of inspiration, teaching, entertainment and good memories as I had set forth to do when I agreed to be artist guest of honor. If not, at least I had certainly tried. This convention deserves no less.

I look forward to being an active attendee in future ALAs, and to seeing the staff and everyone else yet again in a year. In the meantime, I'll be brainstorming ideas for cool new activities at ALA 5. See you soon!
