I've greatly appreciated the list of nearby restaurants/stores/etc in the past, and I was just wondering if we were going to see something like that again in '08 for the new area. Lindsay T ALA 2008 Masquerade Director (What did they talk me into?)

I don't know the area too well, but I can offer the following bits of information:
Inside the hotel:
Daily Grill (restaurant and bar) Starbucks
Directly across the street from the hotel (easy walking distance):
Del Taco McDonald's Panda Express
As for nearby supermarkets, there's a Ralphs at the corner of Buena Vista and Victory (about three-quarters of a mile away - you'll need a car). At this same intersection, across the street, I saw a Quizno's, Baskin Robbins and other eating places.

Yep, we had the fast food on the list but thank you for the idea of adding in just a plain supermarket! I had not thought of that! =)
The list has transportation options, a wide variety of stores including Fabric and shoes for cosplay needs, lots of fast food and some nicer resteraunts, and medical/emergency providers, so far. With luck, by the time of the con it will have everything on it one could need!
