Born in Tokyo 1958, Hiroaki Inoue is one of the founders of the Japanese animation company, Gainax.

Hiroaki Inoue’s films include Perfect Blue and Royal Space Force: The Wings of Honnêamise as well as many other anime films and television.

Mela Lee is an American voice actress for film and television as well as a singer/composer based in the Los Angeles area.

As a voice actress, Mela has been featured in numerous commercials, animated series, games and movies. She first got into voice acting when she auditioned for “Vampire Princess Miyu”, but the director had her read for “Saint Tail”, and she was cast as the title character Meimi Haneoka / Saint Tail. She would later land the vampire role of Yuki Cross in Vampire Knight and a starring heroine character Rin Tohsaka in the popular Fate/stay night series. Jason Charles Miller is an accomplished and multi-faceted performer, with more than two decades of professional experience as a musician, songwriter, singer and voice actor.
Originally from Clifton, VA, Jason now lives in Los Angeles, CA where he owns and runs the successful recording complex, Central Command Studios.

Jason has co-written songs with artists Marilyn Manson, Ben Moody [Evanescence], Chuck Goff [Toby Keith Band], Jeordie White [Nine Inch Nails], Driver Williams [Eric Church Band], Otherwise, Rev Theory and living legend Paul Anka. Christopher Smith – Chris is “the guy you’ve heard but haven’t heard of.” He started his career in the original Robotech and Captain Harlock series’ as third-guy-from-the-left-who-screams-when-he-blows-up. These days he works constantly, and sometimes plays characters who have actual names.

ezra-weisz-pic_078-web Ezra Weisz  has been working in the voiceover industry for 20 years.  He started his career voicing monsters in the Power Rangers series.  Although, he may now be most known for voicing the character of Kaname Kuran in the series, “Vampire Knight,” he as lent his voice to characters in a variety of animated titles, including:  Soma Yagarai in “Aldnoah.Zero,”  Nurari in “Naruto, and ” Yylfordt Granz in “Bleach.”  Ezra is also an accomplished director and has directed the English Dubs of Academy Award nominated films, various Anime notably Paprika BoBoBo-Bobo-Bobo, and Sky Crawlers.  Ezra is currently directing the Saban series streaming on Netflix, “Popples,”   the International Emmy award winning series, “The Jungle Bunch,” the soon to be released pirate adventure series “Zak Storm,” and Nickelodeon’s hit animated series, “Miraculous: tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir.” Ezra also teaches improvisation and acting techniques all around the world.  When he’s not working in the booth he’s warming up audiences in Hollywood at live TV tapings or Improvising with his comedy group iProv.

Edward Bosco – Edward is from Chicago, IL and thrilled to be back at ALA. His first professional voice over job came in 2010 when he provided the voice for Eddie in the Xbox Live Arcade game Sequence. Since that time he has lent his voice to the Warcraft movie, Hammerhead in One Punch Man and Ed in Street Fighter V.

Other characters you can hear him as are Chipp in Guilty Gear Xrd Sign, Kan-Ra in Killer Instinct, Warwolf in Marvel’s Hulk: Where Monsters Dwell, Machias Regnitz in Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel and Beokros in Vindictus. BRAZEN BOOTIES – Hailing from Los Angeles, the Brazen Booties Burlesque and Variety Troupe has taken the art of striptease to the next level, with members well-versed in the arts of circus aerial, pole dance, fire performance, hooping, belly dance, drag, singing, as well as classic and neo burlesque. Their original show Booties’ Playhouse was nominated for the Best Variety and Fringe Spirit Freshman awards at the 2015 Hollywood Fringe Festival, and they were featured in the 2015 Las Vegas Burlesque Festival Saturday Showcase. Most recently, the Booties competed in the 2016 CA Burlypicks and were awarded the title of Masters of Amazement. Touting a diverse cast of skilled performers, a Brazen Booties show is anything but ordinary!

Jeff Burns is an up-and-coming voice actor and long time convention attendee and staffer. Majoring in Broadcasting Electronic Communication Arts (BECA) at San Francisco State University, Jeff has hosted radio programs, narrated B-Roll for the department award show BECAFest in 2013 and done background voices in student films and Anime. While at SF State, Jeff also dabbled in various other fields of interest including editing 2 episodes of the student produced talk show Under SF, audio production. As a convention staffer, Jeff has also worked conventions as a guest relations staff at SacAnime and Power Morphicon and has hosted panels at several conventions including Chillin’ With Voice Actors which demonstrates the talent of various voice actors through cold reading classic radio plays in front of a live audience. Currently Jeff has had over three dozen actors appear on his cold reading panels (all handpicked) and is looking forward to having more victims join in as well as moderating some other cool panels at ALA 2017.

Les E. Claypool III – Les Claypool has been the owner/operator of Magnitude 8 Post since 1989.

In late 1991, after completing the music score and audio post-­-production on the Steve Wang film “Kung Fu Rascals”, he was approached by U.S. Renditions and L.A. Hero to provide audio services for their new joint venture of dubbing Anime into English.

Early projects from the “garage studio days” included Orguss, Macross II, Guyver, Black Magic M-­-66, and the first Giant Robo among others.

Les’ facility eventually grew to encompass multiple rooms, employees, and two locations. In 2015, Les provided a complete audio restoration, enhancement, and remix of both the Castle of Cagliostro and Streetfighter II features for the new Blu-­-Ray releases from Discotek. The new Streetfighter II English mix now contains completely re-­-edited dialog, the original Japanese music score, and numerous fixes and enhancements to the FX track amongst the many other extras included on the disc.

Mary Claypool – Having majored in English Literature and Journalism in college, Mary always sought opportunities to write. In 1994, when the late ADR director, Kevin Seymour, was looking for new writers, Mary jumped at the opportunity to work with him. She got her first chance to write an ADR script for episode 3 of the anime classic, Giant Robo. Deemed a success by Kevin, this launched her 22-­year career writing dubbing scripts for animation and live action.

Over the past two decades, Mary has written for numerous Japanese animated projects including Wings of Honneamise, El Hazard, Catnapped, Ghost in the Shell, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex, Ghost in the Shell: Innocence, SAC: Solid State Society, Dot Hack, Devil May Cry, Bushido Blade, Street Fighter II, Black Jack, Big O, Armitage (features and series), Ah! My Goddess, Outlaw Star, Cowboy Bebop, The Castle of Cagliostro, Resident Evil: Degeneration, Code Geass, Kekkaishi, and Laws of the Universe.

Mary continues to work as a freelance ADR writer for animation and live action projects. She also contributes articles for print and on-­line magazines and is currently working on her own book endeavors.

Fanvibe Podcast – The FanVibe podcast, founded Drew Kuethen, former co host of the Konoha Corner podcast and host of Otaku Radio and Time and Space Radio, is podcast dedicated to Anime, video games and pretty much everything geeky. The podcast has been around since the summer of 2011 and is still going strong.
